Christophe P. Ribelayga, Ph.D., received his degree in Neuroscience from the University Louis Pasteur (France) in 2000 and followed with postdoctoral training at The University of Alabama at Birmingham (USA). He was a faculty member in the Department of Neuroscience at The Ohio State University in Columbus (USA) from 2005 to 2009 and moved to his current position in the Ruiz Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at The University of Texas in Houston (USA) in 2009. He has also joined the faculty at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Houston in 2009. Dr. Ribelayga’s laboratory studies the function of circadian clocks in the retina, and in particular the role of circadian clocks as adaptive processes to the predictable changes in ambient light intensity. Dr. Ribelayga was an early proponent of studying circadian clocks in the retina, as retinal clocks represent an important physiological mechanism regulating day and night vision. His more recent work has focused on the circadian clock regulation of photoreceptor electrical coupling and its role in the activity of the rod and cone pathways. Dr. Ribelayga has co-authored several widely cited reviews of the biology and physiological impact of circadian clocks in the vertebrate retina. 

Dr. Shamim Ahmad is a very senior distinguished Professor of Microbiology ,Superintendent (Examinations) Faculty of Medicine & Officer In-Charge Microbiology Section , Institute of Ophthalmology, J.N. Medical College , Faculty of Medicine , Aligarh Muslim University , Aligarh ,India since January,10,1983 .He has also worked as Officer In-Charge (Administration), Manager , Blind School and many other academic & administrative positions at Aligarh. Beside, he was deputed to serve as Faculty for more than 5 years abroad at Faculties of Medicine in Libya and Saudi Arabia. After earning his Ph.D. degree in 1982, he obtained his Post Doc. training in various Departments of Microbiology at 7 Universities of world repute in 6 countries, being recipient of at least 6 International Fellowships including "DAAD (W. Germany) , "JSPS"(Japan)"ROYAL SOC. London"(UK),"DAAD"(Germany), "TUBA" (Turkey) and "SAIA" (Slovak Republic). Beside, regular Undergraduate (MBBS) and Post Graduate (MS & DO) medical students and some Professional Courses (DOA) teaching ,he has been actively engaged in the teaching & practical Classes of some of M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in India and abroad . Professor Ahmad's research work mainly involved Multi-resistant Eye Pathogens including Super Bugs MRSAs and their alternative treatment with newer antibacterial and innovative natural products especially the "Honey". He has a credit of publishing many papers , books and Book -Chapters and Supervised /Co-supervised of about 52 theses students beside presenting many papers at National and International conferences having being visited about 30 countries for academic purpose. Currently, Prof. Ahmad is honored to be Organizing Committee Member(OCM) of various Internal Conferences beside being member in the Editorial team including Chief Editor of at least 84 International Journals of world repute.

Since 2005 Dr. Susan Azar, a third generation board certified ophthalmologist, has practiced comprehensive ophthalmology as well as  pediatric and adult strabismus. She began her training as an undergraduate at Tulane University and medical school at Louisiana State University in New Orleans.  Her residency training was completed at UMDNJ Rutgers Medical School in Newark, NJ.  She also completed a fellowship in Pediatric and Adult Strabismus at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami.
